Estate Planning
ESTATE PLANNING
One definition says estate planning is the process of anticipating and arranging, during a person’s life, for the management and disposal of that person’s estate. Estate planning includes planning for incapacity as well as a process of reducing or eliminating uncertainties over the administration of one’s estate and maximizing its value by reducing taxes and other expenses. The estate plan is determined by the specific goals of the client and can be very simple or complex depending on the client’s needs. Stated more succinctly, estate planning is preserving and protecting your life’s work for the ones you love.
While, I am not an attorney and I do not practice law, I work collaboratively with your other professional advisors to make sure all of your insurance and financial assets are coordinated with your will and trust documents. My role is often that of the catalyst or quarterback who makes sure the planning process moves to a conclusion so your goals can be met. It can and should also involve your children and grandchildren, if they are of age.
